A Susanna "Susan" (Kunkle) Albright lived Feb 1843 - Feb 1925. She was daughter of Jacob Kunkle & Mary Byerly, she married Michael Albright, was widowed and lived in Paradise. She is buried with her brother David Kunkle.
A Susan Albright lived 1856-1925. She was a daughter of Isaac Albright & Levina and lived in Sadsbury Twp. in 1870.

WRZ entry: Colorful W/C mounted onto nearly 1/8" thick paperboard (H: 5.75" W: 7.75") with gold, pebbled surface on back, and "Hammer" scrawled in pencil script. Front side, in margin above mounted watercolor is "4160 Hammer" also in pencil script.
Mounted in black modern frame with window mat for exhibit 2013-2016. (Removed from Med. Flat Box 35, "Fine Arts: Paintings", Cabinet 2).

WRZ notes: Above is original descriptive entry of 2003. The ID for this piece is based on measurements listed here -- otherwise uncertain. Scene is a dirt road at center leading to distant village; one traveller walking. Picture is framed by foreground, having a copse of trees on either side of road. At left is a trough dispensing water into a container; sheep resting nearby.
Signed at lower left "JA. Beck / 1897". Reverse has several areas of writing that is difficult to read.
Tankard, lidded barrel form. Copper body with brass handle, shell thumb piece and four bands encircling body. Interior is tinned. Engraved on opposite side from handle, "COMPLIMENTS/ OF/ JOHN G. SCHAUM/ TO/ FRANK J. RIEKER." One of a pair with P00.42.2.
Believed to be a presentation piece given by Schaum in appreciation for all the work he was given in Rieker's brewery. Schaum did copper, tin and sheet iron work and was the son and one-time partner of plumber/ coppersmith John P. Schaum.

Heavy tarnish overall. Moderate scratching. Slightly dented in center of and below engraving. Small nicks on rim of lid. Minor corrosion where handle and thumb piece connect to body and on bottom. Some polish residue in crevices.
Yellow earthenware lobe-paneled spittoon decorated with streaked and spattered dark brown manganese under a clear lead glaze. Oval drain hole on side. Underside has impressed maker's name in block letters: "Eagle/ Porcelain Works / Lancaster City, PA / Henry Gast, S.Q. St. "
