Mochaware mustard pot with lid
Description
Slip decorated mochaware with dendritic patterns in dark brown on pearlware body (A) with lid (B). Slip banded with broad orange-brown band and dark brown borders. Applied rolled handle with shaped, decorated terminals. Slightly domed lid has two bands of dark brown and one of orange-brown, with round finial and cutaway for spoon.
Removed label "Mocha 5B". Remaining tape label on lid is "2082 J. B. Morris, Jr."

Reverse features mark of E. Wood and Sons and transfer printed American Eagle with
E. Pluribus Unum banner and "Fall of Montmorenci near Quebec"
Blue transfer-print cover entires top surface. Circular scene with 3 small figures viewing grand waterfall. Edge bordered in shells.
