Letter from J. B. Henry to Louisa Anderson remembering fondly the family’s seeing him off; describes several of the passengers including ex-priest Grazzi, Rev. Mr. Murray, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Osborne and mentions Frank Buchanan, his traveling companion; describes his sightings along the North American coast, the extreme heat aboard; the careful crew watching for icebergs; misses his family greatly; gets cold at the Great Banks; is not impressed with the passengers, especially the women and their “sea chairs”; outlines travel plans in Scotland; mentions great fog; and asks how Roger is doing. Envelope with two 2-pence stamps and no postmark addressed to Mrs. J. Buchanan Henry, Garden City, Long Island, New York, U.S. Steamship Saythia, 1200 miles from New York.
