Oblong shaped walnut veneered container with a back-hinged lid, beveled shape raised central flat area carved with egg-bead molding. Brass 8-point star bail handles are on each end; one handle missing. Brass round keyhole escutcheon is centered on the top front façade of the box with egg & bead molding around the base surmounting four flat-bun shaped feet. Interior features two boxes with back hinged lids as storage compartments for tea leaves. In the center is a circular aperture lined with felt holding a star cut glass mixing bowl to blend tea leaves.
American Rococo Revival Walnut Sofa. The serpentine back centered by a rose and shell scrolled carved crest, the back joined to closed arms, with a serpentine apron and raised on cabriole legs terminating in casters, silk velvet upholstery.

Henry to Louisa Anderson agreeing with her that they should be separated less often but circumstances might decide otherwise; Mr. Parker hasn’t written about his business trip but should when he reaches his home in Guelph, Canada; if he feels well he will embark on a two- to three-week vacation to Lake George, visiting Uncle Edward on the way; he will bring some of his goods to Staten Island to be shipped to Australia; asks about Henny Thieriot; likes matrimony; wonders if Mrs. Muney or Mrs. Meade will be at Lake George; implores her to exert her authority on Dody in a way to gain his everlasting respect; went to a party on a cool piazza and a moonlight row on the bay; mentions Mrs. Southgate and Mrs. Magruder. He has placed their bonds and Miss Hetty’s in the Safety Deposit Building in Philadelphia and the certificates in the Farmers & Mechanics Bank. A new Power of Attorney is required for Lehigh Valley Railroad to continue to issue dividends to the Misses Pleasanton, although he would prefer that a new Trustee be appointed to whom their securities could be transferred. He will prepare the letter to Mr. Demund soon. He has asked Mr. Johnston to bid on the sleigh with a $50.00 limit; and asks that someone be at Mr. Trout’s to receive things as they arrive.
