Henry to Mary Hagner Nicholson relating his lengthy trip from Annapolis to Baltimore (where he would have visited her dear Margie if he had had a letter of introduction, to Philadelphia, to Newark (where Mr. Scharff joined him and had a pleasant chat and a bite to eat in New York) to New York (where he met Barton Key and Mr. Banks), by boat up the river to Albany and disembarking at Saratoga Moreau to finish the trip by carriage; recalls the many people that have come and gone since he started visiting Lake George and wishes she could be there with him; instead of going to Bolton via public transportation, Mr. Davids will take him on his yacht.
