Sheet iron sign with black background and .125-inch gold border. "Alex H. Hood / Attorney at Law" in gold letters. Paper glued onto back with the following in cursive handwriting in ink: "Alexander H. Hood/ Lancaster, Pa./ Studied Law under/ Thaddeus Stevens/ &/ admitted to the Bar/ 1844. - Died 5-24-1875"
Some paint scratched off on front revealing shiny silver underneath. Marred and scratched in spots. Some ruse. Paint worn off around 6 holes along edges.
Heavy steel sign with inward-curved corners and raised edge. Four recessed drilled holes. In raised block letters: "A.C. WELCHANS/ BUILDER/ LANCASTER, PA."
Sheet brass sign, "The Slaymaker Lock Co." and "The Makers of Padlocks, Cabinet Locks, Hardware, Brass Castings, Plating, and Polishing" Marked, "TUCKER"
