Description
One of four saucers. Inside curved shape features a gilt band along the rim with a wide band of pink hue decor bordered by a smaller diameter gilt band closer to the saucer's center. Center of the saucer features a gilt star burst decor.

Notes
In 1995 the JBF staff assigned the Object ID W.95.69.2 to this Compote as a FIC probably because original paper records were not found.
In March 2023 the paper file has been found that identifies Lois Cassatt Thayer as the donor in 1935. Mrs. Thayer was the daughter to Alexander Cassatt and his wife, Maria Lois Buchanan Cassatt. Maria Lois Buchanan was the daughter to Rev. Dr. Edward Y. Buchanan, the youngest sibling to President James Buchanan.

Description
One of two demitasse cups. Inside of cup is lined with gilt decor that extends over the cup's rim. The rim gilding connects to two vertical gilt bands and a band around the base forming a frame around varied handpainted landscape scenes; the cup handle is also gilded. The remainder of the outer body has a solid pink hue.

Description
One of two matching silverplate bases (1b-2b) that are paired with two round Sandwich cut glass salt cellars (1a-2a). The short silver plate bases terminate on four ball feet situated at each corner. The square bases are hollow and each have an opening upon which the glass salt cellars rest. Silver bases have a ribbed shoulder decor rounded up to neck of base. Neck has two bands with slanting lines, repeated around outside of flare.

One pair of Chippendale brass and iron andirons. Contains large reeded ball at top, three graduated small balls center and large ball at base. Snake turned base with two small balls each side of snake turning. Rear of base small turned ball with double column base.

Description
Body of lamp is mostly dark bronze with bands of polished brass. Iron pedestal embossed with brass Greek figure in low relief. Top pedestal is brass from which fall long square shaped prisms. Arms extend on either side of center column above pedestal and support glass globes. Brass globe extends above center column with glass globe in cut diamond pattern topped by an iron cover with knob.

Bookcase composed of two sections. The upper cabinet has two hinged doors that latch at center. The shelving is adjustable and both doors feature 12 oblong-shaped glass panes and mullions. The lower cabinet has two hinged wood doors that latch and lock at the center; each door features a square recessed panel.

Description
Vase splat chair, back top rail is faced with a crotch-grain mahogony veneer and is a wide concave cross member with rounded ends, a rolled cresting and scroll-cut lower edge. The top is supported by plain rounded uprights that are a continuation of the square rear legs that have a backward saber curve.
The back is open with a wide urn-shaped splat that surmounts the upholstered, rectangular slip seat. The front rail has a conforming shape to the seat and is supported by the front legs that are flat and shaped in a reverse ogee curve with rounded front edges.

Description
This mirror is mounted in a Cassetta Frame. cassetta frame, a design that has been in use for over 500 years. This Renaissance frame design, which are also called plate frames and box frames (the word cassetta means "small box"), were developed in Italy during the late 15th century. This frame has gilt surface on the inner molding.
