LANCASTER IN 1777-1780. In the recently published paper by W. U. Hensel on Major John Andre's Residence in Lancaster, 1775-76, refer- ence was made to the social life in Lancaster during the period of the American Revolution, It was pretty plainly intimated, and easily to be in- ferred, that during
