The Pirates Club began as the Shad Choir Club in Lancaster around 1910. This fraternal organization had regular shad dinners and field trips called "cruises". The organization is still active in Lancaster.

Community Historians of Lancaster County Collection, 1967-1979
Description
This collection contains three programs for events held by the Community Historians of Lancaster County between 1967 and 1979.
Admin/Biographical History
The Community Historians of Lancaster County was organized by a group of local historians and local history enthusiasts in 1962. They began holding meetings at Franklin and Marshall College's Fackenthal Library and later held events and lectures at various historical sites around Lancaster County.

The Donegal Society was organized in 1909 to maintain, preserve and promote the history and grounds of the Donegal Presbyterian Church near Mount Joy, Lancaster County, and the history of the Scots-Irish who settled in the area and founded the church in 1721.
