Cut stem, six facets to bottom of glass. Etched panel around glass with medallion of James Buchanan from waist-up, a leaping buck and a cannon -each etching is repeated. Etchings surrounded by ivy vines.
Goblet was purchased by John Evans from Stephen K. Nagy, owner of an antique shop in Philadelphia, PA. Nagy was well known as a dealer in curios, guns, pistols, antiques, coins, stamps, paper money.
Leaded glass. 10 sided bottom. Finger-cut design toward bottom. 10 sided finger-cut shoulder. Neck has 3 beaded rings and flattish lip. Stopper is drop-shaped, pointed at top and is 7 faceted. Body is slightly flared to shoulder.
1961 Brigadier General J. Steinhoff visited Wheatland and dated tea set 1709-1729. His research found that the porcelain was from the town of Meissen, Germany and originally created for the household of Augustus Rex, called August the Strong, was Elector of Saxony from 1694 as well as King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania in the years 1697–1706 and from 1709 until his death in 1733. He belonged to the Albertine line of the House of Wettin.

One of 12 linen napkins. Square white damask cloth with two finished edges and two hemmed edges. Woven in white with cross-grain threads, central design circle of folded continuous ribbon with garlands of roses and bead-like strands 'hanging' from it. Embroidered 'B' at the corner of each napkin.
