Tarnish buildup on silver body. Needs professional cleaning and waxing.
A white porcelain teapot with an octagonal shaped body decorated with a vine of pink roses, 's' tendrils and blue flowers. A thin gilt band wraps around the body above the gilded spout. At the opposite end of the pot the wide ribbon-shaped gilt handle emerges from the body. The separate lid, also decorated with a rose vine, features two gilt bands around the rim and just below the gilt mushroom-shaped handle.

1961 Brigadier General J. Steinhoff visited Wheatland and dated tea set 1709-1729. His research found that the porcelain was from the town of Meissen, Germany and originally created for the household of Augustus Rex, called August the Strong, was Elector of Saxony from 1694 as well as King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania in the years 1697–1706 and from 1709 until his death in 1733. He belonged to the Albertine line of the House of Wettin.

John Wood either already had or, more probably adopted, a middle name 'Wedg' - this rather conveniently caused his marks to been mistaken for the more famous Josiah Wedgwood
One trade directory (1841 Pigot) lists his second name as 'Wedge' but all others correctly give 'Wedg'. John Wedg Wood died, age 43, in May 1857.

Handle broken off and a few chips missing at base of teapot.
Glazed soft paste porcelain Gaudy Dutch teapot (A) with lid (B). Handpainted "Butterfly" pattern decoration on pale blue body of pearlware. Squat ovoid body sits on a low footring; body swells most in lower half. Collar extends outward below an oblong mouth fitted with conforming domed lid with oblong knob finial . Spout has minimal molding as does arching applied handle.

Overall strong staining, especially at lower spout and base section and interior. Strong hairline cracks throughout base and bottom, with resulting staining. Scratchon butterfly wing. Chip on underside of spout tip. Long split/crack on handle back, perhaps from firing. Coloring is very uneven at multiple places, sometimes creating a mottled effect. Wear and soil under foot ring.

Copper lustre rectangular footprint molded earthenware teapot with lid. Applied c-scroll handle and spout. Turned vertical fluting on sides and lid. Lid terminates in pineapple finial. Over lustre finish is handpainted floral border at shoulders of teapot in pastel enamels: yellow, green, pink.
Molded earthenware teapot with lid, pink surface coloring over pearl-colored body. Four applied feet and a spout with molded foliage pattern. Floral finial at top of lid. Transfer printed design of butterflies, fruits, birds. Green enameled border pattern below shoulder. Pink lustre trim.
