Description
Blue infant's dress. Silk taffeta. Hem and bodice lined with polished cotton. Sleeves lined with white cotton. Square neckline bound with self-fabric with drawstring in binding. Thirteen sets of tucks on either side of bodice and pressed toward center. Wide square neckline. Ornate bodice and sleeves with pin tucks, smocking, fabric covered buttons (3 on each sleeve, 8 on bodice front) and lace decoration, including edges of short, 5in, sleeves 1in band between bodice and skirt. Front center 3in of skirt is flat. Pleats facing center on both sides, front and back. 4in center back is gathered. Closure is 2 hooks and eyes at waist band in back. Decorative work around skirt, front bodice and on sleeves. Bodice lining and 3.5in interior hem of blue polished cotton fabric. Sleeves work in 2 fabrics together. Seems hand sewn.

Description
Part of a four-piece dress. Jacket: Short sleeves with cuffs. Dark blue velvet fully-lined in cream-colored silk with batting between two fabrics. 2 small leather-lined pockets on left inside. Hand-stiched strip on linging at lower edge right front. 3 hooks and thread-covered eyes at waist front. Parallel lines of sticthing on body at sleeve openings and at waist and on 3 bands around neck as well as front and silk at opening. Blue velvet strips have buttons in back and at tabbed ends on front. 4 tabbed front closure peices have buttons. Machine and hand-stitching.

Description
Girl's Victorian Dress, Pink Dress with Velvet Trim, long sleeved with gathered skirt. Fabric is rose colored silk with alternating vertical stripes of plain satin & 4 narrow white stripes. Both hand and machine construction used to make this dress. Double construction- silk on outside tan cotton fabric on inside. On bodic: 2 wide rows of gathering at neck. 1.5-in high stand up collar attached to neck. Over shoulders and on front are flaps decorated with 2 bands of burgundy velvet. These velevet bands also on stand up collar and near bottom edges of both sleves. Bands of lace attached to both cuffs and collar. Additional stiffener sewn inside 5-in. hem. Back closure is 13 hooks and eyes.

Description
Jacket Black crape silk, beaded in black glass beads, designed by Worth of Paris. Fully-lined in black silk taffeta and interlined with muslin. Has small turned down collar with full length set-in sleeves. Collar, cuffs, and hem trimmed with 3'' fringe and 3'' strand of black beads every inch. Varying size of black beads used to create a contoured design of flowers and swirls on front and sleeves.

Description
Wedding dress, black silk, worn by Sue Elizabeth (Dague) Whitaker in 1887. Consisting of five parts: A= ? black lace shawl ;B= bodice; C= underskirt lined in stiffening fabric; D= overskirt
Stiffened band (16in x 1.5 in.) covered with black fabric.
2 bands of 5-inch wide crepe gathered along length in center.
Half inch wide gathered strip sewn along 4 edges to create frilly collar.
Two black ribbons, 14 inches long, sewn to inside edges to tie/secure the collar.
20+-inch wide pieces of fine crepe fabric with .25-inch pleats sewn to collar.
Ruffle sewn on edge all around this 29-inch long piece on both sides.
The bottom 6 inches is a separate flaring end, machine sewn in chain stitch.

Description
One of two Louis XVI upholstered armchairs. Both chairs have gilt and bronze beading and foliate ornament décor on their crests, arms, uprights and aprons. All four legs are surmounted by foliate-decorated blocks transitioning to an urn-shape and ring and beaded ball turnings. They transition to reeds in the middle tapering to additional ring and ball turnings that terminate on brass casters.
