Copy of a black and white sketch of Donegal Church with a group of Colonial soldiers, two women, Pastor Colin McFarquhar and other men under the large leafy white oak tree near the church entrance. One man holds a long paper and is reading to the group. To the left, near a thin tree, a man holds the reins of a horse.
In 1777 congregants of Donegal Presbyterian Church gathered with Pastor Colin McFarquhar under this white oak tree to vow allegiance to the cause of the American patriots in their fight against England and its King.
