Undocumented stories claim that this table was ordered by William Jenkins in 1828, the year he had the Wheatland mansion built, and that it has conveyed to each subsequent owner with the deed. The table dates from the first quarter of the nineteenth century and might attributed to the Bachman cabinetmakers.

Fragment from James Buchanan's tomb in Woodward Hill Cemetery, Lancaster, PA. Rectangular base with relief carving of three oak leaves on one short branch with an acorn on top. White marble. On back: paper with handwritten ink: 'a piece of waste marble from (the?) Tomb of Hon. James Buchanan.

Silver tablespoon, marked twice on handle's reverse, "Ewing" in a conforming rectabgle or cartouch. The spoon is engraved on the obvserse of the andle, "G A L" in intertwined script.
The maker, John Ewing, is listed in Vivian Gerstell's "Silversmiths of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, 1730-1850" as a silversmith working as early as 1778 in Lancaster.
Provenance
John Ewing was the nephew of Jasper Yeates (his mother was Yeates's sister). John Ewing was buring in 1799 at St. James Episcopal Church.
Sugar tongs, wide at the center, with narrow prongs, acorn-shaped bowls with acorn design on the outside. Ridged edgesl wavy lines on outside of prongs.
Engraved "CMC" in a diamond at the center. The maker's mark "L H", in a rectangle with serifs, appears three times.
Light tan earthenware sectional spittoon with darker "runny" slip or glaze finish. On bottom is impressed "Eagle Porcelain Works / Lancaster PA / Henry Gast S.Q. ST."

A Susanna "Susan" (Kunkle) Albright lived Feb 1843 - Feb 1925. She was daughter of Jacob Kunkle & Mary Byerly, she married Michael Albright, was widowed and lived in Paradise. She is buried with her brother David Kunkle.
A Susan Albright lived 1856-1925. She was a daughter of Isaac Albright & Levina and lived in Sadsbury Twp. in 1870.
