Burgundy painted child 's chair with 4 legs supporting a seat and back of 4 spindles with horizontal support at top. The chair is decorated with lines and bands on legs and back spindles. On front of seat are yellow and what may have been green lines leafed branch designs. Painted on the back support is a container filled with fruits and cascading flowers.
A typed note attached under seat of chair reads: "Presented to the Lancaster/ county Historical Society by/ Mrs. Mabel D'Miller Miller/ Landisville, Pennsylvania/ Child's Chair which belonged to her/ aunt, Mrs. John M. Ensiminger c1855"
Handmade rectangular grater crudely fashioned with tinned sheet iron and having 14 staggered slits of 1.25" width and raised edges for cutting. All four edges are folded to back, but the two long sides are rolled over wire to stiffen length of tool.
Crudely fashioned tin tool has wear and imperfections at blades and back corners. Abrasions and corrosion scattered overall. Peeling paint or corrosion.
