Description
A "Galena 'Catwhisker' Wireless Detector" used in early crystal radio. Precision crystal detector with iron pyrite crystal, used in commercial wireless stations.
Mounted on a 3/5-inch square, .5-inch high with beveled edge. 2.5-inch glass tube secured between metal pieces. Screw on side of metal bracket can be removed to uncover the glass tube.

A Susanna "Susan" (Kunkle) Albright lived Feb 1843 - Feb 1925. She was daughter of Jacob Kunkle & Mary Byerly, she married Michael Albright, was widowed and lived in Paradise. She is buried with her brother David Kunkle.
A Susan Albright lived 1856-1925. She was a daughter of Isaac Albright & Levina and lived in Sadsbury Twp. in 1870.

Description
Copper tea kettle, classic form with gooseneck spout, high dome lid, marked strap handle hinged on "plinth w/ serifs" tab bases. Lid fitted with a crudely fashioned replaced iron or steel mushroom-shaped finial, bent to one side.
Vertical dove-tailed seam on side opposite spout, top seam running length of spout. Dove-tailed bottom.

Tarnished with numerous dents and scratches over body. Two very heavy dents at shoulder, opposite each other and one on bottom. Finial knob bent to one side. Two significant cracks on proper right side at shoulder and one on back.
