Cartouch-shaped top of beige/yellow marble; out-rounded corners, serpentine sides; concave/rounded edge. Valanced skirt, also serpentine with carved medallions, on each of four faces with 'C' and 'S' scrolling and foliate motif. Cock-beaded molding around lower edge of skirt. Pedestal has an urn shape with cock-beaded molding with a round finial. Four incurved, shaped and carved cabriole legs terminate in small scrolled feet with casters.
Mahogany veneered night stand with a gray marble top, bull-nosed edges and rounded corners. Three inch skirt has an ogee curve on all sides with a wide centered drawer and a small brass knob drawer pull. Skirt surmounts two horizontal beads of trim above an ogee crest and sides that form the frame of the cabinet with a centered side-hinged door. The small brass knob pull is missing. The wide base apron is surmounted with cockbeaded trim and at the base are four beveled carved trimmings around the feet that terminate in casters.
Oval walnut center table with marble top and urn shaped center pedestal. Table skirt is shaped to conform to the marble top with a recessed channel just below the top of the skirt and a bull-nose molding at the bottom. The top portion of the pedestal is urn-shaped flaring outward to four ornate, scroll-carved cabriole legs. The pedestal continues beneath the outward curve of the cabriole legs with additional turnings terminating with a mushroomed centered finial. The legs feature foliate motifs with clusters of pine cones that terminate in claw feet.
American Empire tilt-top table with brass hardware to hold the table in horizontal position. Table top is supported by a sqaure pedastal that surmounts a plinth base terminating on four scroll feet with casters.
Simple marble top Rococo revival style table characterized by curvilinear lines and carved floral and foliate ornamentation on the apron and cabriole legs. An X-shaped stretcher with a central finial connects and supports the legs.
Center table. Oval, with white marble top overhanging wood skirt which is double-cyma curved. Four C- and S- scrolled supports curve down to cartouche-shaped shelf. Four scrolled legs curve down to casters.
Rectangular top, green baize-covered (thick, felt-like cloth) writing surface. Ogee-molded edge overhangs crotch-grain skirt with sectioned drawer opening on one long side with two wooden turned knobs. Brackets on top of two legs have rounded medallions,
Admission ticket to the Japanese embassy decorated with a hot air balloon with “Constitution” on the balloon, two American flags with person in basket, and the Japanese rising sun on each side of the invitation. On the reverse is an engraving of the Philadelphia Gas Works—First Ward, Thursday June 14, 1860 – 11 o’clock, A.M. Jno. C. Cresson, Chief Engineer is written in top right-hand corner. Philadelphia.
