Letter from E. Y. Buchanan to H. B. Swarr reporting that Judge Cadwalader is still in the process of gathering, arranging, and digesting material, but hasn’t written very much because of his health and judicial duties, and so, regrettably, the biography will not be published during the centennial year; noting that his only surviving son Edward and his family are visiting from California; and asking for information about a W. The James Buchanan Family Papers were collected by the James Buchanan Foundation for the Preservation of Wheatland. This collection was relocated from the Wheatland mansion to the LancasterHistory archives in the Spring of 2009.
