Digitization of the James Buchanan Collection was funded by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, PHMC Appl ID # 201808013051, 2019-2020.
Carte de visite photographs taken from an album of J. K. Mentzer. The album may have been made by members of the Methodist Church in New Holland c. 1871 as a thank-you to Mr. Mentzer for selling them the land for their new church building. Only one photo in this group is identified.

Alfred Killian and Amanda Louisa Hornberger Killian and their children, William Buch Killian, Minerva Killian, Hettie Killian, and Sara Elisabeth Killian.
Maria Hess Burkholder, wife of John H. Burkholder. Written on back: "Maria Burkholder, grandmother Landes' sister". Possibly the sister of Hettie Hess Landes.
