Jonathan Heart on the march with his company from Connecticut to Fort Pitt, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, from the seventh of September, to the twelfth of October, 1785, inclusive : to which is added the Dickinson-Harmar correspondence of 1784-5 ; the whole illustrated with notes and preceded by a biographical sketch of Captain Heart by Consul Willshire Butterfield
The book was written by a Moravian priest, George Henry Loskiel, describing his trip from Bethlehem, PA, to Goshen, Ohio, in 1803 to attend a missionary conference. The book is unique in that his lengthy description of the trip is entirely in rhyming verse.

Issac Morehead lived most of his life in Erie, PA. He was a railroad conductor, a bookstore owner, a government clerk in Harrisburg, and postmaster at Erie. He was a traveler and an amateur historian who wrote many articles for local newspapers.
