Stevens epitaph: I repose in this quiet and secluded spot, not from any natural preference for solitude, but finding other cemteries limited as to race, I have chosen this as my last resting place, that I might illustrate in my death the pricnicples I advocated through a long life, "The equality of man before his Creator."
Fourth oldest operating Jewish cemetery in the United States located off Ice Avenue. Purchased by Joseph Simon and Isaac Henriques February 3, 1747 "to be held in trust for a burial ground for the society of Jews in and about Lancaster". Main gate erected about 1917.
