Provenance
Second of two Diffenderfer family albums. Compiled by Frank Reid Diffenderfer, a former member of LCHS and an editor of a Lancaster city newspaper. Album documents his family as well as that of his neighbors on North Duke Street, Lancaster, beginning in 1903. Neighbors include Charles Fondersmith, Robert Slaymaker, and his daughter, Ida, who married Frank Fondersmith.

Unidentified family or friends of Ella Rohrer Efinger or her husband Philip Charles Efinger. Two men seated with a young boy standing behind them outside. Real photo post card of an unidentified older gentleman holding a baby girl. Written on the back of the post card: "Best wishes to Miss Rohrer from Daddy Hurst" and "card sent to Ella Rohrer".
Ella Rohrer married Philip Charles Efinger circa 1920. Ella attended nursing school at Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia, c. 1915. Philip served in World War 1 as an 2nd Lt. in Co. D, 56th Infantry, United States Army. Ella was a great-aunt of the donor, Richard Hauck.
