This article, written in 1919, describes life in Lititz during the Revolutionary war as well as the establishment the military hospital. Lititz was not a formal religious community as were Nazareth and Bethlehem, but the Moravian church was very influential in the town and operated several businesses there. The article provides many diary entries, some of which are unrelated to the hospital.
