v. A BENJAMIN FRANKLIN LETTER By William Frederic Worner In the Division of Manuscripts in the Library of Congress in Washington, D. C., there is an original letter writen by Benjamin Franklin to Edward Ship- pen, Esq., of Lancaster, Pa. The communication is a short one, and in it the illustrious

Steinman, president of the Lancaster County Historical Society for twenty years,—from the time of its re-organization in 1896, until the end of 1916.
