Woven jacquard coverlet with red roses, blue 9-petaled flowers, 8-point stars, red birds, and blue rose trees.
Center field: alternate stripes of blocks of red roses with blue 9-petaled flowers encircled by small 8-point stars with 2 larger stars between flowers.
Outer border: Alternate redbirds and blue rose treets on 3 sides.
Head edge: Bound with commercial red twill tape.
Center seam: Self fringe on 3 edges. Side wool fringes are looped.
Corner blocks: "Made by J. Witmer Manor Township for Hennah Sauder 1839"
Woven coverlet of two 39-inch widths seamed together. Horizontal rows of red, gold and blue wool; lenghtwise, natural cotton. Bird/tree border on both sides and the foot. Roses and flower designs. Top is rolled and stitched. 5.5-inch wool fringes on sides. 1-inch woven cotton border at foot with 7-in. self-fringe.
Weaver's blocks at foot: "MADE BY/ J. WITMER/ MANOR/ TOWNSHIP/ FOR/ CATHERINE/ HERR/ 1838."
Jacquard coverlet. Cotton warp, dyed blue weft. Dyed wools are two tones of blue and two tones of red. Center seam. Head binding, madder brown print cotton. Center field- fronds in pinwheel cofiguration. Outer border- 2 alternating 2-storied bldgs. with windows. Corner blocks have

Jacquard coverlet, cotton warp and wool weft. Wool is dyed with madder red, indigo blue and green. Made with a 4 & 1 tiedown weave structure. Joined at center seam.
