Woven coverlet with central medallion circled by leaves, vines and grapes. Eagles on each of the four inner corners have wings spread, stars and stripes on their breasts. Eagles on the border have wings closed. Outer border of swags and tassels. Band at foot edge:, "Made by H. Stager - Mount Joy - Lancaster Co. PA - Fast Color - No 1 - Clara L. Whitlock"
One piece, no center seam. Cream-colored cotton warp; red, green and blue-green wool weft. Top edge rolled and stitches. 2-inch self-fringes on sides; tape with fringes sewn to foot edge.
Indigo Jacquard coverlet. Natural cotton and indigo wool. Center seam. Inner border of alternating birds and trees. Outer border (3 sides only) a double row of 8-pointed stars. Center field of 20 full floral and star square blocks with 4.5-inch blocks at top. 25 stars between blocks.
Head edge finished with doubled .25-inch brown cotton binding. 3.5-inch self-fringe on sides with tape of fringes applied to foot.
Jacquard coverlet made by Samuel Hippert. Weft yarns are red, green and blue wool and warp is natural white cotton. Two loom widths sewn together in center.
Center field has circles of foliate motifs. Border includes a double row of 8-petal flowers. At foot end and sides is an inner borders of roosters.
Weaver's blocks in corners at foot: "S+ H+ ELI/ ZABETH/ TOWN/ PA 1858/ SARAH/ ANN/ FLURY". Band with "H PATENT" repeated along runs across coverlet between weaver's blocks.
Sides are self-fringes; foot edge finished with applied fringe. Top/head edge has red cotton tape handsewn over the raw edge.

Corner blocks have "S.H. ELIZABETHTOWN PA 1838 SARAH ANN FLURY". Hippert worked in Mount Joy ca. 1833-1838 and in Elizabethtown ca. 1835-1841.
Coverlet of red wool and blue-green cotton. 2 loom widths decoratively and strongly seamed in the center with red wool. This coverlet is comparatively light weight. Self-fringes of red wool on both sides. Foot end is rolled and hand-stitched. Red wool fringes appear to have been individually applied.Top/head edge is finished with a 1.5-inch wide folded silky red binding. Some machine stitching in black thread and also hand-stitching to attach the binding.
Center field contains rows of circular designs. Roses border the lower edge and foliage in urns border the sides.
Unlike most coverlets, Satler's weaver's blocks in bottom corners are oriented to be read from the top of the coverlet.
Jacquard coverlet of cotton and wool. In border is "Made .by. Philip Schum - Lancaster - PA." Red, blue, purple & green wool woven on natural/cream colored cotton - floral pattern
Woven coverlet. Red and green horizontal wool bands with floral pattern ("The Double Roses") of natural cotton threads. Red and green 3-inch loop fringes on three sides. Top edge is rolled and stitched with green yarn running stitch. Bands of red roses alternated with bands of green leaves. Side edge blocks alternate red birds and green rose bushes. Weaver's blocks on both bottom corners: "J.R. Gebhart/ Maytown/ Lancaster/ Co./1839" with "A. Musser" below. "A. Musser" also on both ends of top border.
Woven coverlet. Red, green and blue wool horizontal bands with lengthwise natural cotton threads. Wool loop fringes on sides; cotton loop fringe on bottom; and top edge bound in red fabric tape stitched with green threads. Side and bottom border designs differ from design on body of the coverlet.
"Muench" listed on tag from Heritage Society.

Woven coverlet, 4+1, Dog's Paw pattern. Two 43-inch wide lengths/panel sewn together in a center seam. Red, blue and navy blue wool fringes on both sides; 6-inch natural cotton fringe along bottom edge. Top is finished with a double 1/5-inch band of blue and tan check cotton fabric.

Finely crafted woven coverlet. Full loom width, seamless. Red, navy blue and green horizontal wool bands with lengthwise blue cotton strands as background. Designs include roses, floral medallions and leaves.
Weaver's blocks on all 4 corners: "Emanuel/ Grube/ Warwick/ T.L.A.C.P./ 1844/ P. Rudisill" (T: Township; LA: Lancaster; C:County; P: Pennsylvania)
Top and bottom edges folded over and stitched. A woven tape with wool fringes is stitched to the lower edge of the coverlet.
Small (child's?) 2-layer cotton & wool woven coverlet. Width of woven green,red and blue bands are used vertically in this coverlet. Neutral cotton background. Three edges have rolled stitched hems. One of these is plain (head). Of the three green, red and blue wool fringed edges, one (foot) is a self fringe and two have attached fringes.
