(B) Saucer has offcenter red flower surrounded by other flowers and leaves. Double line border at top of inside.

Straight sided child's maxim cup with applied handle and recessed bottom. Cream-colored body has a red transfer-printed scene on the side depicting a hay wagon drawn by four oxen. Three males are working with the hay. House, trees and mountains in background beneath shining sun. Underneath printed scene is the saying "MAKE HAY WHILE THE SUN SHINES."
Tiny straight sided child's cup with applied arched handle and recessed bottom. Covered overall with yellow slip and decorated with luster painted stripes at rim, base and handle. Red transfer-printed decoration consists of "A Present/ for Eliza" printed on a large angular cartouche, which in turn is superimposed over a stylized floral or foliate design largely obscured.

Small handwritten note on rolled paper inside cup reads: "Bought from/ Kathryn Grabill/ East Petersburg" and at bottom is "XX . 7." Note now in object file.
(A) Cup has nearly spherical shape and sits on a foot ring. Inside under rim is a wide band of pink with crosshatching puncutated by 4 evenly spaced sections containing sprigs of either leaves and flower or leaves and berry. Red flower sprig inside bottom.

Cup (A) and saucer (B), glazed soft-paste porcelain, Strawberry pattern. Handleless cup has straight flaring sides & rests on a small foot Paint decoration on white ground has 2 strawberries & a large green leaf on each side with smaller leaves, purple roses and brown squiggles. Interior has double stripe with berries and flowers. Rim painted rust.

Platter of ironstone transferware with clear glaze. Rectangular with clipped corners, recessed bottom and moderately wide sides that extend outward. White body is devoid of decoration except for black transfer scene of a long bridge spanning a river, 5 people in foreground, town at right end of bridge and another in the distance on right bank. Underside has apparent impressed mark and transfer maker's mark at center: under a spread eagle with shield is a "sign" reading "COLUMBIA BRIDGE ON THE SUSQUEHANNA". Below it is "W.R.", indicating maker William Ridgway & Co. Sticker on bottom is: "$390" and "CLP". This river scene is a variation of the print done by William Henry Bartlett (see G98.12.21).

Flow blue, transfer print decorated pitcher. circular base, wide lip for pouring. Pastoral scenes around lower portion of pitcher, top covered with leaves and flowers. Small pattern along inside and outside edges of opening. Outside of handle decorated with blue stripes.
Coffepot (A) and lid (B) of blue transfer-printed pearlware. On a pedestal base is an octagonal pear-shaped body flaring back out at recessed rim. Gooseneck spout with cap at tip. High arching handle of C-scrolls. Domed octagonal lid has an octagonal knop/finial and tiny vent hole.
Transfer decoration is a Chinese scene with people, trees, water and pagoda with bridges. Additional decoration at top and base is a filigree-edged band dominated by 3-leafed vine.
Glazed soft paste porcelain teapot (A) with lid (B). Handpainted "Strawberry" pattern decoration on pale blue body - pearlware. Ovoid shape with neck leading to flared lip. Has molded gooseneck spout and applied handle. Slightly domed lip has flattened knob finial.
