Marriage certificate of Samuel Washington and Eliza [Liews], both of Carlisle. Mark of Jeffery Golden, Minister of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Witnessed by [Revd.] Willis [Nager]. With envelope, return address Armor's Old Book Store, Adjacent to Court House, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Fragile condition, separated at folds.
Admin/Biographical History
In 1847, Jeffry Goulden was a pastor for the Fredericktown Circuit, A.M.E. Church, Baltimore District. (The Baltimore Sun, 3 May 1847) He is listed as a laborer in Ward 6, Baltimore, Maryland, in the 1850 Census.
