Baseball with peril, Philadelphia. Moving freight trains form dangerous backstops for the national game. BUt a busy freight yard was teh best atheltic field these city bous could find. They have no playground. It would be interesting to remark that very soon after this photograph was taken, a policeman chased the boys from the only open play space they had in their neighborhood - the freight yard.
