The Green Dragon farmer's market - the largest market in Lancaster County is the Ephrata Farmer's Market and Auction. In addition to the huge amounts of food and merchandise for sale, each Friday, there are horses and livestock being auctioned off to the highest bidder.
Ephrata Cloister - Founded in 1732 by Conrad Beissel and a group of German Pietists, who established a Protestant Monestary known as the German Seventh Day Baptist. Buildings shown are the Saron (Sisters' House) and the Saal (Place of Worship). Restoration by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Comm.
Historical Mountain Springs Hotel, Ephrata. One of the main stops for the Pony Express and stage coach between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. The ground floor was built in 1753, and the last major construction was completed in 1849.
