Taken in Mr. Siedle's office, Washington, D. C., at time of decision to issue Wheatland stamp commemorating a Presidential shrine in Pennylvania, in the 100th anniversary year of the election of James Buchanan to the presidency, 1856. Civil War veteran badge with medallions, Grand Army of the Republic. Gold pin on top with eagle. Underneath is metal piece with words, "55th Nat'l Encampment / GAR / Representative." Below that is metal piece with Lincoln head and words, "Springfield, Ill. / 1932." Below that is medallion with words, "Samuel P. Town Commander in Chief G. A. R." and his image. Yellow ribbon background. Accompanying card reads "Presented by / Washington F. Hambright." Washington Hambright served in the 79th Pennsylvania.
