Brooklyn, NY: Jubilant Dodger relief pitcher Don Bessent jumps into the arms of catcher Roy Campanella, who clamps a bear hug on him, moments after Pittsburgh Pirates' pinch hitter Hank Foiles went down on strikes for the final out of the pennant clinching Brooklyn victory here Sept. 30th. Bessent pitched his way out of two jams after relieving startedr Don Newcombe in the eighth inning, to save the 8 - 6 win for big NewK.
