Description
A collection of doll bedding/linens:
A. Pillow made of stripe of blue and white ticking machine-stitched on two sides, stuffed with straw and hand-stitched to close on one end.
B. Finely crafted pillow cover of white closely-woven satiny cotton stitched on chain-link machine. Opening at one end. Entire covering edged with commercially-made 1-inch wide cotton lace.
C. & D.: Quilts: Both quilts done sewn with chain-stitch machine and consist of printed 2-inch cotton squares. Most four-block squares contain two different prints. Entire piece backed in white muslin, no batting. Top and backing stitched with diagonal 1.5-inch lines forming diamonds in white thread with a chain-stitch machine. Edging tape, white with printed flowers is stitched to the top of the quilt.
Quilt C.,18 x 17.25, is highlighted with squares of 13 different patterns of pinks and browns. Tear in a brown-striped patch near one edge as well as front and back of one patch on same row.
Quilt D.,17.75 x 25.25, consists of 26 different prints. Overall hues are brown, with some blue and two squares of pale green and white check.
E. Unhemmed hand-stitched patchwork piece, 7.25 x 10.5 overall with similar 4-block 2 x 1.5-inch squares of two different fabrics, 8 different fabrics in all. Overall tone is brown, but six faded squares may have contained a fugitive green.
F. Heavily soiled light-weight cotton floral print (flowers are faded brown). Might have been skirt of a doll's dress with a 2.25-inch hem. The single vertical seam, 4 inches from the bottom is turned under and stitched by hand to from an opening. Stiff and fragile.
Three Cotton Quilt Squares: All 9 x 9 inches. All composed of thirteen 2-inch squares, hand-stitched. All prints with white triangles along the edges. Each is composed of 2 different prints...

J. Larger Cotton Quilt Square with applique: 17 x 17-inch white quilt square with green leaf patterned fabric applique. 11 x 11-inch ornate cut-out design with a green leaf in each corner. (Not much allowance for a seam on the corner- .25 inch.)
K. Doll blanket. 10.5-inch square. Wool, knitted in garter stitch of coral and black/white variegated yarns. Three 3.5-inch stripes, coral stripe in middle. Scalloped crocheted edging in coral.
L. Doll blanket, a 12-inch square. Wool, crocheted three-stripe doll blanket in aqua and tan yarns. 1.5-inch wide crocheted border with scalloped edge. Mended in 4 spots. 1 aqua stitch loose near tan stripe.
M. Pillow. Handmade 4.5 inches x 3.5 inches. Cotton fabric with large floral print, hand-stitched on three sides and stuffed. Red stain near edge on one side.
N. Pillow. Handmade 3.5-inch round pillow, made of same fabric as M. White cording has overcast onto the seam around the pillow. Firmly stuffed.
O. White cotton rectangles (2), 16.25 x 13.25 ins., stitched on 3 sides, turned inside out with feather-stitch chain in yellow embroidery floss stitched around all four sides.
P. Pillow case, child's. 11.75 ins. wide x 17.50 ins. long. Fine white cotton, careful mending, especially around the embroidered red heart with a yellow arrow through it. Red feather-stitch chain on hem-line, 1 inch from the opening edge.
Q. White 10.5-inch cotton square, .25-inch hem with machine-stitching on three sides. Fourth side is selvedge. Soiled overall with brown stains.
R. White 8-inch cotton square. Same fabric as Q, with .125-inch rolled hand-stitched hem on three sides. Heavily stained with dark spots and brown liquid stains.

Varies, excellent to poor:
Excellent: Pillow is in excellent condition.
Good: Larger quilt has a defined quarter of brown acidification due to storage (maybe against wood or paper product. Both quilts have some minor fiber separation on backs.
Good: Raw-edged piece shows some fraying on edges.
Poor:Hemmed remnant print has holes and separated fibers-maybe a fugitive red dye; as well as brown and black stains.

Description
Molded wax head, neck, shoulders, legs, feet. Hard resin arms-hands that are painted greyish-beige. Brown rooted hair, center part pinned into rolled style with faux flowers tucked in the hair by ears. Hair brows, brown glass eyes. Painted lips, small teeth showing. Seed pearl choker. Cream silk gown adorned with lace bertha across chest and lace gathers about hip area. Faux flowers adorn left chest, and throughout lace across hips.

Description
Two dolls: one boy, one girl.. Both have porcelain heads, shoulders, and arms. Hair is molded on heads and painted to look blonde. Blue glass eyes. Stuffed cloth bodies and legs.
W.89.178.1. Male has molded head, painted light brown hair, straight with bangs. Brown eyebrows, fixed blue eyes, painted closed mouth. Hands and arms to above elbow are ceramic. Long-sleeved white shirt with collar and brown string tie bow at front neck. Red fabric with gold beaded band sewn on it forms straps to hold up black velvet knee pants. Cummerbund, wide on the belly, tapers as it wraps to the back where it is sewn in place. Narrow woven string forms a 4-petaled flower in front. This string is also sewn along the edges of the band/belt. Pants are sewn to fabric-covered legs.
W89.178.2. Female doll has molded hair, painted curly blond hair, open fixed blue eyes, closed mouth. 3/4-length sleeves (with lace sewn on edges) are sewn to a red vest with fabric-covered stiff cardboard front piece. Same red fabric, pleated at waist, for skirt that is gathered at top and machine-hemmed on three sides. A faded blue apron covers front skirt. Ceramic arms and fabric legs. Plain white petticoat on top of white underskirt with lace sewn around hem edge. Arms move up and down; legs are straight and move back and forth.

Description
A. Doll next to Hershey bar on magazine cover. Whereabouts unknown. (2024)
B. Doll named "Mary" has a bisque head with fixed blue eyes and long blonde hair and bangs. Arms, hands and legs below the knees are bisque. Arms movable from shoulder as are legs at hips and knees. Stuffed fabric body and upper legs. This doll has an 'hour-glass' figure. Crack in bisque right shoulder and neck held together with clear tape.
Clothes appear to have been handmade with hand and machine-stitching, pinked seams. Blouse and skirt of a white and blue cotton print are pinned with small safety pin and straight pins. Lace adorns the neck and sleeve cuffs The skirt is floor length. Undergarments include a white cotton underskirt - waist to knee length- trimmed in lace; and white bloomers trimmed in lace. C. Groom dressed in matching dark brown velveteen pants and jacket. His white shirt has lace around the neck and down the front with a small white button at the neck and another center front. His jacket is tied with a black ribbon bow at top front, beneath his chin. The waist band had elastic. His undergarments are a white handmade undershirt and bloomers buttoned at the back. He wears black stockings and brown leather laced shoes with shiny black leather toes.
His bisque head has painted light brown hair, brown eyebrows and fixed blue eyes. Arms and hands and legs are ceramic. Impressed in back: "Germany 39/B 3 1/2." 13 inches tall. (Box 0133)
D. Bride Doll. Bisque head and shoulders with long blond hair and brown fixed eyes. Torso is white leather as are arms and legs that bend at elbow and knee joints. Lower arms and hands are bisque, Feet are fabric. A 26-inch long white lace veil cascades from a lace cluster with velvet bows attached to the bride's head. The delicate outer layer of the skirt and sleeves of her white ankle-length dress is falling off the front. The bodice front is pleated and is adorned with two rows of lace with a button at back neck..A fabric flower is at the back waist and the garment has puff sleeves. The white cotton gathered underskirt buttons at the back waist. It is trimmed in lace and ends mid-calf, shorter than the gown. She is wearing white bloomers, made for another larger doll. Her fabric feet are bare. 13 inches tall. (Box 0133)
E. Bisque head and shoulders with "4" impressed center back. Painted blond curly hair and blue eyes. Fabric body with tiny bisque hands. Knees bend. Handmade satin dress with gathered skirt and short sleeves. Narrow red velvet ribbon around waist and a bow on left shoulder. Neck is loosely gathered and waist is too small to be closed at back. Underskirt and bloomers button in back. Fabric boots with gold ribbon ties on feet. Named 'Katie' by children who played with her. 9.5 inches tall. (Box 0133)
F. 5-inch baby doll in bunting with blue ribbon ties, 3 on each side and one with loop at top. All bisque blond-haired blue-eyed baby with bent arms and legs. Baby wears an undershirt, a long dressing gown with front opening and booties tie with blue ribbon. Fabric is dirty. (Box 0133)
G. 8-inch furry doll with bisque head, brown eyes, jointed and painted forearms and lower legs. Arms and legs are attached to body of wood. Peaked head, body, arms and legs are covered with soft white furry leather. (Box 0133)
H. 14-inch doll with " Germany/ DEP" impressed onto back of bisque head with auburn hair, blue glass eyes with feathered brown eyebrows and painted eyelashes. Mouth is open with upper teeth showing. Head glued to body. Joints move, including wrists. Netting/gauze covers top and front of hear. Silk square bordered with lace sewn on by hand adorns doll's head. Her high-collared white shirtwaist dress with long sleeves has tucks in the front and buttons in the back. Over her dress she wears a full-length white bib apron with two pockets. White undergarments are a lace-bordered sleeveless shirt, bloomers and a petticoat skirt. She wears dark brown knee-high stockings and black leather shoes with metal fasteners and buckles.Right front shoulder seam is loose. Good condition with attire and details: earrings and fancy shoes. I. 3.5-inch high kneeling Asian doll holding a turtle on a string in its left hand. There may have been something in the right hand. A small tuft of short black hair on the head--missing a hat. Some of clothing missing to cover the sleeves and square bib-like front. Top enamel missing in back of head and at both wrists. (Box 0133)
J. Simulated Asian doll with "blue" eyes, open mouth with teeth showing. Moveable arms and legs (right arm and leg are detached, held in place by clothing. Red painted shoes on feet. White (dirty) fabric pants with remnants of maroon trim at bottom are unattached at waist and falling off. Maroon jacket with small metal buttons on front. Round broad felt collar and colorfully decorated pointed hat with brim. There is a braided queue in the back, but hair missing on front of head. Fair condition, but of interest as a doll at that time. (Box 0133)
K. African-American doll (souvenir?) Wire bent for arms, to form torso and to anchor a nut attached as head. Eyes and mouth painted on face. Right arm held up, left by waist. She is wearing a pink and red flowered skirt with a white apron, red shawl and head wrap. There are two lines of text printed at the base of the apron. "I Came...(rest indecipherable). Head broken and fabric fraying. 5 inches, head to hem. (Box 0133)
L. 11-inch doll whose bisque head has "Germany" impressed on the back. (It's also wobbly.) Short blond hair under a wide-brimmed white tam with wide band and tabs at the back made of dark blue with white polka dots. This same fabric is used for the middy collar, tie, sleeveless top and cuffs. The pants, jacket and hat are white. Front top closes with hooks and fabric 'eyes.' Long open undershirt undergarment. No shoes. Arms, wrist, hips and knees move. (Box 0133)
M. 16-inch doll with "Made in/19 Germany C7" impressed on back of bisque head (still attached, but wobbly). Blond hair with bangs, blue eyes that open and close, open mouth with upper teeth. Movable arms, wrists, hip and knees. Navy blue woolen top with middy collar and pants, all trimmed with white bands at neckline, front of jacket, waist, and cuffs on sleeves and pants. Top is tied at neck, and with hook and eye at front waist and back of pants. This doll wears brown socks and black shiny leather shoes that lace up the front. Undergarments are cotton top and open pants. (Box 0133)
N. 6-inch plastic doll with moveable arms and legs. Skirt ends below knees and red knee-high stockings and black shoes are painted. Caucasian girl with brown hair and brown eyes. Head covered with white fabric hat with large bow in back. White blouse edged with blue stitching. Wide black cummerbund lace in front with gathered skirt and white apron below. Necklace of small beads added later by children who played with the doll. Attire appears Alpine. (Box 0478)
O. 7-inch felt doll framed with wire. Attired in red felt outfit, with brown shoes, green neckerchief, yellow belt, gloves and hat. Tufts of yellow yarn hair on sides of head. Blue felt eyes and brown thread mouth coming loose. Handmade. (Box 0478)
P. 6-inch ceramic doll with light brown hair and painted facial features has moveable arms and legs. Doll is dressed in homemade Amish attire: black bonnet (with satin bow in back?) small black triangle over shoulders and black apron. The doll wears a dark blue top and separate skirt. She has ankle-length pants underneath. Safety pins hold blouse on at side and bonnet under chin. Straight pin at front holds black triangle in place. Feet showing are painted black. (Box 0478)
Q. 4.5-inch ceramic doll dressed as an Amish boy with black long pants with shoulder straps, burgundy-colored shirt and black felt hat. Head has ears and painted facial features. Light brown hair is glued to head (with a commercial hole at top. Arms and legs move. (Right leg is separated, held up by pantlet.) (Box 0478)
R. 6-inch ceramic doll with movable arms. Painted black heeled shoes and white stockings with blue bands that end below the knees. Brown round glass bead eyes with painted eyelashes, brown eyebrows and red rosebud mouth. Blond hair--hat may be missing. Attired in a long gold satin gown with pink gathered ribbon trim around neck and down side seams and front from waist to floor. She wears white lace-edged bloomers. One china wrist has been glued back on; parts of both shoes and feet are broken. The doll wears a bead bracelet added by children who played with her. (Box 0478)
S. 5-inch ceramic doll with moveable head, arms and legs. Her yellow heeled boots and stockings are painted on. Her blond hair is swept of and tied with a blue ribbon bow. She appears to be dressed in a handmade white cotton slip, a dress made of cotton trim. A pink ribbon belt is pinned in the back. Her pink tam with pink ribbon trim is also handmade. Her blue eyes are glass beads with painted eyelashes and eyebrows. She has pink cheeks and lips. (Box 0478)
T. 5-inch doll with ceramic head, arms and lower legs. Doll has painted hair and facial features;blue eyes, brown eyebrows, pink cheeks and red mouth. Arms and legs move. Black boots painted on. Over white cotton bloomers and skirted undergarment, she is wearing a black silk long-sleeved floor-length dress. Her gold satin shawl is tacked in the front. Netting showing beneath her neck and over her head beneath a black Quaker bonnet on her head. Satin is splitting in places. (Box 0478)
U. 5-inch Santa doll made of wood. Black painted boots, pink arms and face with blue eyes, white eyebrows and white paper beard. Green wool slacks, a red felt coat with a white felt stripe/fur down the front and remains of a shiny black belt. Dirty and coming apart: wood sections, chipping paint at feet and clothing, especially in the back. (Box 0478)
V. 4-inch ceramic doll with arms and legs that move. Face painted with blue eyes, brown eyebrows, rosy cheeks and pink lips. Some remnants of light brown hair remain--top of head is open underneath. Yellow boots with heels and white sock are also painted on. The tiny bloomers with a button and completely open in the back may have come with the doll at purchase. Current clothes are pinned on: underskirt and shift with red ribbon bows at the shoulders. White tape around the neck. (Box 0478)
W. 4.5-inch ceramic doll with arms and legs that move Yellow boots with heels and white socks are painted on. Pretty face with tiny blue glass bead eyes, painted eyelashes, fine brown eyebrows, pink cheeks and pink lips. This doll appears intact. Her hair is blond, long and anchored with a ribbon. Her handmade dress of striped satin has lace on neckline, bodice, cuffs and hem. The satin fabric has separated in many places and is falling apart. The doll, however, is in good condition. A. Bureau, off-white painted wood with two drawers, storage compartment with door on upper right; mirror on left side of top of bureau. ( 12 ins. wide x 6.5 ins. deep x12.5 ins. high) Small gold bird cage with bird inside on the bureau. North wall, Unit 2, Shelf __
B. Bureau, wood, with mirror, candle sconces and faux marble top. Three lower drawers with round white ceramic handles. 2 silver candle holders, a round comb, green bead necklace, hairbrush and 1-inch square box containing 6 metal hairpins. (Items in drawer.) (10 ins. wide x 5.5 ins. deep x 21.5 ins. high) North wall, Unit 2, Shelf __
C. Rocking chair. Wooden with arms and ladder back. Seat is wood painted as if caned. (6 ins. wide x 10 ins. deep x 11.5 ins. high.) North wall, Unit 2, Shelf __
D. Towel rack with 4 fringed linen towels, each with cross-stitched initial(s). "M.S." for Miriam Sener (b. 1876); "R" for Ruth Sener (b. 1887) and "A" for Anna Sener Rusk. ( Rack measures 6.25 ins. wide x 2.75 ins. deep x 6 ins. high) North wall, Unit 2, Shelf __
E. Doll Trunk.18" wide x 8.5" deep x 6" high. Exterior of wood is covered with a black leather painted fabric. Strips of brown leather run along the lip and side edges of the lid. 4 leather strips decorate the top and run down the front at the corners and middle near the lock. Hand leather tab at the lock is partially gone. Only one of the leather handles on the sides is still in tact. Three wood strips across the top of the trunk and two on the bottom are anchored at the ends with decorative metal pieces nailed in place. The bottom is covered with decorative paper.
The interior of the trunk is covered with decorated paper. A color sticket of three roses is pasted in the center on the top of the trunk. A colorful strip of blue and yellow designs between red borders is pasted on both sides of the lid. One fabric hinge (torn) remains. Items can be stored in the bottom of the trunk or in a removable shelf with a covered compartment on the right side. The lid (now separated from the compartment) is blue with edges banded in the same colorful pattern as the lid. A small picture of a child and dog is glued in the center.
