Molded red earthenware pitcher with mottled brown glaze. Sits on hexagonal foot, has hexagonal swelling body with shoulder upper section constricting to hexagon neck with straight sides. Pronounced spout and angular "C" shaped handle.

The Bowman Technical School was founded by watchmaker Ezra F. Bowman in 1887 to teach the trade of watchmaking and engraving. During World War I, the Bowman Technical School trained soldiers to repair delicate aviation and naval instruments.

Grace Lutheran Church Communion Service. One plate has the inscription ~ "These four patens donated by Mary Rue Bard Breneman April 1, 1928". She was a member of this church. Customer: Mrs. C. S. Breneman.
Gathering of bands for special occasion on the steps of the Lancaster County Courthouse. The Iroquois Band from Lancaster, the Nottingham Silver Band from Chester County and the Spring Garden band from York County are noted. Also, men in uniform on horseback and a horse-drawn carriage and automobile in front of steps.
Pewter flagon, one of a pair, made by Heyne and presented to the Warwick Congregation (now the Brickerville United Lutheran Church) for use as part of a communion service. Cylindrical tankard form of top half joins a bottom section that begins to swell until it flares out dramatically at bottom. Has three applied cherub's head feet bordered with wrigglework. Applied spout. Heyne then innovated by departing from German forms by using three English features: an applied hollow handle, a double-domed lid and an erect chairback thumbpiece.
At midline below three raised bands is an engraved two-lobed crown above large initials "MH" filled with wrigglework. Underside is stamped with Heyne's mark, a crown over the initials "ICH", and "LANCASTER" below. Undated, although the other flagon of this pair is marked "1776" on bottom.
Johann Christoph Heyne was working on West King Street in Lancaster Borough, 1752-1781.
