Grist mills were an important part of the rural economy for two centuries. Stoneroad's Mill was a gun shop at the time of the Revolution. It was built by Andreas and Veronica Kauffman.
Group of negatives in an envelope marked Bossler's Mill or Neff's Mill near Route 230 west of Rohrerstown Road, but appears to be miscellaneous mills. Possibly Windom Mill or Landis Mill.
