Small molded transferware plate, hand-painted. White-bodied plate has recessed bottom with light green transfer decoration of a woman spinning outdoors near a house, two gentlemen, two small sheep and cow. Surrounding scene is "Fly pleasure and it will follow you. The diligent spinner as a large shift./ Now I have a Sheep & Cow every body bids me good morrow." A flaring rim is slightly hexagonal with scalloped edge painted with red lustre. Raised leafage and swagged beading have underglaze bright paint colors with alternating red, yellow, blue and green.

Small cream pitcher of molded white bodied china, dark blue trim around top with gold veining and other highlights. Inverted pear shaped vessel has embossed leaves at sides, four small feet in gold and applied handle. On side of body in stamped, gold lettering is: "Souvenir/ of/ Lancaster/ Pa." (Matching sugar bowl, G.01.35.19)
Stamped underneath in gold is a crown over shield with the monogram of "TGC"(?) The number "4" also stamped in gold.

Glazed soft paste porcelain molded plate, handpainted flowers in thistle-like design. Dished out center surounded by nearly horizontal molded rim of raised basket-weave design except for four evenly spaced smoothe cartouches containin a painted thistle. Large red flower in center with blue leaves and stem and smaller blooms branching off. Additional space filled in with small green leaves and brown thorns. Brown banding at rim edge and at inside ede of rim. "2350" is painted on the plate bottom.

Small creamer, copper lusterware, glaze overall. High foot ring, pot-bellied body with high neck and shaped spout. Applied loop handle. Central band of blue has four orange bullseyes and luster decoration elsewhere except for white on lower half of interior.
Small creamer, copper lusterware, glaze overall. Foot ring, pyriform body rises to a rim a shaped spout. Applied loop handle. Swell of body has a wide mustard band with luster floral and foliate decoration. Copper luster elsewhere except for white on lower half of interior.
Creamer, copper lusterware, glaze overall. Has high foot ring with pyriform body rising to a mouth with shaped spout. Spout has a foliate molded base. Bead-molded band just below rim of mouth. Applied loop handle. Swell of body has triple bands: middle band of blue is flanked by two orange bands. Each has a luster stripe at its center. Additional orange band at neck with central luster stripe. Copper luster elsewhere except for white on lower half of interior.
Creamer, copper lusterware, glaze overall. Has foot ring with a squat globular body rising to a mouth with shaped spout. Spout has a foliate molded base. Applied handle has scroll molding. Molded raised bands on upper third and lower third of body. Central third has a white band with raised floral decoration of various colors. Copper luster over entire body except for this white band and white on lower 3/4 of interior.
Creamer, copper lusterware, glaze overall. Has low pedestal base with a vasiform body rising high to a mouth with shaped spout. Applied handle has scroll molding. Copper luster overall except for lower 2/3 of interior and a wide mustard yellow band at the neck of pitcher. Band is decorated with luster foliate motif.
Large creamer, copper lusterware, glaze overall. Has pedestal base and a pot-bellied vasiform body rising to a mouth with shaped spout. Applied handle is scroll-molded. Copper luster overall except for white lower 2/3 of interior and two exterior bands of blue: a wide band at belly and a narrow one on neck. Both bands decorated with a luster foliate motif. A narrow band of beading edges rim of mouth.
Shot glass of clear, pressed glass. Straight flaring sides have etched advertisement at one side: "Rohrer's/ A/ WHISKEY/ ROHRERS LIQUOR STORE/ LANCASTER, PA." This store was located where Watt & Shand building is on Penn Square.
Handwritten note of donor in file states "Probably an antique Sara Rohrer gave Daddy from Rohrer Liquor Store."

Grove's liquor store was located next to Brown's bar or store on the NE corner of Penn Square near the entrance to Fulton Bank. The 1903 and 1909 City directories both list a 15 Penn Square address.
Charles A. Grove reportedly died 1907 and his sons Charles E. Grove and George F. Grove continued the business until Prohibition.
