First Woolworth Building, Lancaster, PA. The first Woolworth Building was erected here in 1900. It stood for more than fifty years being replaced by the present F. W. Woolworth Co. Store.
H. C. Demuth, 49 East King Street, Lancaster, PA. H.. C. Demuth, snuff Manufacturer, established in 1770, is still in existence at 49 East King Street, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Buch's Drug Store, corner of West King and Charlotte Sts. Lancaster, Penna. Also shown are L. A. Wynn Heating Contractor and the Art Printing Company. Now occupies the site which ws formerly the Old Plow Tavern - Built 1745, Demolished 1924. History says that on the register were the names of General George Washington and General Lafayette. When General Lafayetter made his memorable visit here in 1824 he was banqueted at this splendid old hostelry.
