Metal door nameplate with beveled dark edge and silver surface with "Henry J. Kauffman" engraved creating dark gray cursive lettering. Round hold drilled at each of the four corners.
Framed seal of Robert Coleman. Red wax seal. Imprint of shield with rampant lion in the center. Banner underneath shield reads, "Inomnia Paradus" Directly above the shield sits an armorial helmet. Above the helmets is the tip of an arrow or spear flanked by a set of wings.
"Inomnia Paradus" -- The coast guard's motto, "Semper Paradus" translates roughly to, "Always Prepared" Coleman's motto means "Ready for Anything".
Silver two-handled bowl or loving cup. Engraved, "To: Ezra B. Fritz / from some of his friends / 1844 June 22 1909 / Quarryville, PA " engrave on back of object, the list of friends.
Silver colored, shield shaped plaque with beveled edge. Four holes, two at top and two at bottom, for mounting. Engraved with 4.5in high ornate "1" in center. A banner like ribbon, curving around it contains "L.F.D." Some black matter in all recessed areas and lines makes numbers and motifs stand out. Cast from brass, plated in white metal, possibly silver. According to accession "this was a numeral plate was taken from Clapp Jones steam fire engine #1 about 1882."
Trophy awarded to oldest living member of Lancaster City Firemen's Association. Wooden base with golden metal firefighter in boots, raincoat, and helmet carrying a moveable lantern in his right hand. Brass plate on front of base in engraved: "George F.K. Erisman/ Oldest Living Member; Lancaster County/ Firemen's Assn/ Reamstown Convention 1960."
Empire Hook & Ladder plaque or sign. Silver colored metal plaque with .125in wide grooved black border on all four sides, .125in from the edges. Engraved on both ends are a hook and a ladder with "EMPIRE" in the center in .75in high upper case letters. All engraved portions are black. On back are two threaded bolt ends centered 1.625in from each end for attaching sign.
Agate Seal with cursive capital letter "E" carved into its stamp face. The letter represents the name "Ellmaker" as the stamp is from the Lucy Ellmaker estate. Molded stamp has a columnar shape with a variety of faceted surfaces. Stamp face has a cartouche shape.
