Descent through family: From Col. Emanuel Roath to daughter Barsina Harriet Roath (Mrs. Henry Loches Ville and later Mrs. Geo. Kame). Then to daughter Gertrude Villee (Mrs. George A. Libhart), the donor. Donor born 1884 in Marietta, died 1968 in Vineland, NJ and buried in Marietta Cemetery. She donated knives 10 years before her death in NJ.
Metal door nameplate with beveled dark edge and silver surface with "Henry J. Kauffman" engraved creating dark gray cursive lettering. Round hold drilled at each of the four corners.
