The C.A.P. is an Air Force Auxillary formed in 1941 to use civilian aviation in antisubmarine patrol, border patrol and courier work. After the war it turned to more benevolent operations such as search and rescue, and involving young cadets in aviation.

The corporate pilot, Reed Zimmerman and his wife Mildred are standing beside the Cessna. When New Holland Machine Company bought a twin-engine Beechcraft (D-18) in about 1951, they moved their operations to the Lancaster Municipal Airport.
RCA expansion at Lancaster, Pa. - This airview of the RCA Electronic Components and Devices plant at Lancaster, Pa., shows where two new buildings will be constructed as part of a new $11.6 million expansion program. At left is a 154,000 square foot expansion for conversion tube manufacturing operations. The new building on the right is a 46,000 square foot area that will be utilized for color TV picture tube design and application, as well as chemical and physics engineering.
