Description
Tin candle mold with 2 rows of 4, mounted on a raised rectangular base. The 8 molds incline toward each other at their tips and are soldered together for strength. Wire finger ring attached to one side of base and large looped strap handle at other side.

(STUDY COLLECTION)
Copper pail, cylindrical body, collared neck fitted with a copper wire bail-type handle hooked through side holes. Rolled lip edge. Dove-tailed bottom. Made for holding the glue while inset into larger water-filled gluepot and heated. Inner vessel of the double boiler gluepot.
This gluepot insert was obtained by donor to replace missing original inner component of gluepot P.77.61.

Description
Strainer of glazed redware, but with a lighter brown color than most redware. Resting on three tapered 1-1/8 " long feet. The flat-bottomed dish has straight sides that flare out to a molded, high lip. Applied handles at sides. Large holes in bottom and three rows of smaller holes at sides.
Lead glaze overall with some streaks/runs of a darker brown.

Large redware mixing bowl, with dark red-brown glaze inside. Spout formed at lip. Two applied handles at sides. Glaze splashed and dripped onto other areas of bowl, including sides, handles, and underside of lip.
Incised on bottom is the number "30".

Description
Round bowl of glazed hand-painted chinese porcelain; one of a set of three. Thin walled sides curve up sharply to a molded edge with irregular scalloping. Foot ring on bottom with unusual recessed circle at center (1 3/8" dia.).
Inside bowl at center are circular geometric and floral/foliate designs of blue and overpainted red. Sides divided into 6 panels with 2 alternating designs - large winged insect, etc., with red predominating; and stylized floral and foliate designs with blue predominating. Exterior sides have 2 blue alternating motifs: a flower with leaves alternates with a design of two snake-like forms. Blue striped banding at foot ring as well as circumference of center recessed area.
Follows the style of 17th - 18th century Imari decoration, which orginiated in Japan and was copied in China for the European export market in the 18th century. The style was revived in the late 19th century.

Description
Chinese export porcelain saucer, hand-painted and glazed, one of a set of four. White body has conventional saucer shape with foot ring, up-curving sides and curve-molded edge. Top is densely decorated with heavily applied paint. Border is especially dense with polychrome repeating designs of flowers, leaves, birds, etc. Within a circle border at bottom center is a scene of 5 well-dressed Chinese ladies gathered on a porch or terrace adjacent to a dwelling. Similar scenes depicted on all saucers in this set.
