Summary
This pamphlet mixes world history with local Pennsylvania history from 1496 to 1954. The author highlights the history of the various religious denominations, but his/her attention can be curious, such as the many references to certain historical figures being "celibate". "This outline has been composed from commonly known facts of history and is intended primarily for travellers from far-off places, who might wish an introductory summary of area history, accompanied by brief references to related communities."
