Since that paper was prepared, however, the diaries of George Washington, from the years 1748 to 1799, have been col- lected and edited by

fifteen toasts which were drunk on this occasion, were published in the Lancaster Journal of Friday, July 7th. The utmost harmony and good-fellowship prevailed during the day, and the company separated "in peace and good will to- wards man." The Lancaster Journal contained announcements of meetings as
