Thirteen envelopes from James Buchanan addressed to H. B. Swarr, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Two with seals. All have notes by Mr. Swarr recording the dates received and from whom; one postmarked Bedford, Pennsylvania with a 3-cent stamp; one from Theo. Costello listing interest owed James Buchanan; and one from W. J. S. Stahr listing interest owed James Buchanan.

The James Buchanan Family Papers were collected by the James Buchanan Foundation for the Preservation of Wheatland. This collection was relocated from the Wheatland mansion to the LancasterHistory archives in the Spring of 2009. Digitization of the James Buchanan Family Papers was funded by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, PHMC Appl ID # 201808013051, 2019-2020.
Group of 7 bills from Joseph Schell for miscellaneous footwear for members of the family, one letter from H. R. Irving enclosing one of the bills and a receipt Dr. J. J. van Rensselaer. 46 Arrietta Street, Tompkinsvillle, Staten Island, July 1890 – 2 March 1891.
