Signed barrel - Martin Meillen in Germantown 1705, full walnut stock relief carved, 62 inches over all, 47 inch barrel, .64 caliber rifled, heavy moulded cheek piece, relief carved swirl and floral design of wild flowers and acorns rear side of cheek and tang, relief mold around side and lock plate and lower butt, roccoco design on all brass, no patch box, old forestock repair, butt plate and flintlock indicate heavy use.
