The Curtiss Condor airplane visited the new Lancaster Municipal Airport to sell rides, day or night, to Lancaster countians. The pilot was the famed transatlantic flyer Clarence Chamberlin.
F. Ruth Hostetter in her beauty shop - Ye Quality Shoppe - in the Woolworth building. In later years, Miss Hostetter also operated a restaurant and beauty shop from her home at 602 North Marshall Street in Lancaster.
