This fowling piece is made unusually attractive by the brass wire inlays, by the carved patterns on the cheek side of the stock and around the breech tang, and by the half moon inlay of silver. The six grooves filed on the top end of the butt plate are also evidence of careful and imaginative workmanship on the part of the maker.
