Description
This collection contains items relating to Dr. Herbert Beck's surprise 80th birthday party with the Pirates Club at the Hamilton Club, 14 November 1955, as well as information and photographs relating to his interest in ornithology.
Admin/Biographical History
Dr. Herbert Huebener Beck was born 15 November 1870 in Lititz. He was a locally renowned educator, author, and sportsman. He was head of the Chemistry Department at Franklin and Marshall College and a member of Lititz Moravian Church. He died 22 December 1960.
