This collection was relocated from the Wheatland mansion to the LancasterHistory archives in the Spring of 2009. Henry to Mary Hagner Nicholson begging for longer letters to sustain him; hopes to visit Baltimore with Mr. Scharff, his wedding looming near; Miss Bright will be married in a small ceremony with 150 guests; teasing her by asking if she is flirting with Mr. Randolph and he will send Mr. Magraw to spy upon her; did not go to Com. Wilkes “tea fight”; mentions Miss Emily, the Ingrahams, and the parties of Mrs. Grims and Lady Napier; will get her a ticket to the Great Ball if she wishes; solicits her mother’s news in the next letter.
