Made up of the sheets of the 1796 edition printed by Jacob R. Berriman for Berriman & Co. (Evans 30065), the title page and title page to the New Testament having been reprinted. The plates are the same as those found in the 1796 issue, save the frontispiece ("A scheme of the lives of the Patriarchs, from Adam to Moses inclusive. By Jas. Purves. 1786.").

Printed in two columns. Plates engraved by Alexander Anderson, Cornelius Tiebout, William Rollinson, and Amos Doolittle.

Summary
The New Holland Clarion was published weekly in New Holland, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania from 1873-1984. Until the 1950s, it was the only newspaper for New Holland and chronicles the history of that municipality beginning in 1873. The newspaper provided the local news, world and regional news, information on social events and businesses, and historical sketches of New Holland.
